Great Grandparents

Way back on Thanksgiving, both sets of my grandparents came into town and Devin got to meet his Great-Grandparents.

Grandpa W feeding Devin a bottle

Devin snuggled up with Grandma W

Grandpa and Grandma M

This picture was hilarious for us because Grandpa M doesn't usually hold the babes so Jeremy hurried and set him on his lap while I snapped a shot!

Now Nana and Grandpa are here for Christmas and we are having a great time. It is SOOOO nice to have some extra sets of hands around.

Move Over Santa

The other day Kenyon came strutting around the house in this get-up. That skinny body, the cherries on the boots - I don't know which is funnier. Love him!

P.S. Can you tell I am ready to blog again?!

The Princess Premiere

(Maya, Destany, Victoria)

Maya and I recently attended a premiere party for The Princess and the Frog put on by Mocha Moms, an organization for African American women. The girls got to "walk the pink carpet," received goodie bags and than watched the movie.

The movie is cute, but definitely has some dark, scary scenes that I was glad Kenyon wasn't there to see.

Visit with Santa

Maya wants a guitar and violin

Kenyon wants a big choo choo train

Baby J wants some shoes and socks (Kidding! She won't keep those things on for 2 seconds!)

Devin just wanted to be back in daddy's arms sleeping

Check off the visit with Santa from the to do list!

From Maya's Perspective

Today I took the older 2 to church and Jer stayed home with the babies. About 20 minutes into it, Maya asked, "Mom, do you wish dad was here?"

"Yes," I replied, thinking she just meant because we miss him.

She went on, "Are you done? Are you losing it?"

What is she thinking about me?! I can't even handle the 2 big kids at church! Actually, it was very calm and peaceful and I was not "done" at all!

Now tomorrow, with Tiffany back in Utah and when Jer goes to work, I might lose it and be done. Pray for me!

We are alive!

We are still alive, just a little busy with 4 little ones. Devin and I made it home last Friday and I have meant to post every day, but I am trying to sleep, do dishes, get caught up on laundry and spend adequate time with each kid and Jer instead. It is going so well and this little Devin is truly a sweet, calm baby. He just chills and I LOVE it! He is also giving us some good sleep stretches at night. Basically, we are all smitten by him! The other kids are adjusting well, just minor drama here and there. Jer's sister, Tiffany, flew in for the week and I can't even tell you how helpful it has been to have a live-in nanny = HEAVEN!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with both sets of my grandparents in town. We talked a lot about gratitude all week with the kids and truly feel thankful to be blessed with these 4 great kids.

More pictures to come soon.

Georgia Aquarium

We had told the kids we would go to the aquarium so Maya asked every day and finally on Friday we went:

IT WAS AMAZING!
Yes, real sharks swimming below
Petting the Rays
Checked out the real Alligators and then the fake ones checked out Maya
I told you Jaylan is cute!
Touching star fish and other gooey things

Crab legs, anyone?

Such fun times!

Jaylan

We have been able to spend time with Jaylan (Kenyon and Devin's birthbrother) while here in Georgia. He is 13 months and ALL BOY. I am continuously amazed at how much he and Kenyon are alike. From their evil laugh when they are being naughty to the way they fling themselves around while falling asleep, the resemblance is incredible. He also has a very, sweet side. The first night he met Kenyon, he walked up to him and gave him a hug. He has warmed right up to us and I am so grateful we have been able to spend time with him.

We even got to be there for his 1st haircut:

All grown up now!
We have sure fallen in love with that little boy!

Update

Jer, Maya and Kenyon boarded a plane today and headed back to AZ. It was sad to see them go. I wonder how Jer will survive being a single father of 3...

Meanwhile Devin and I get to hang out here for a little while longer while court docs are processed. I think I got the good end of this deal - one newborn, hotel sleeping, lots of eating out and all of this in a city with tons of shopping. I think I will be just fine here.

(Jaylan, Maya, Devin and Kenyon -
just before we went to the Georgia Aquarium yesterday -
very fun pictures of that adventure to come soon!)

M.I.A.

Wondering where we are... in Georgia meeting our new SON, Devin Jerome. He is gorgeous and sweet and a good eater and so much more. He arrived on Monday, November 9 at 1:38 pm weighing in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 19 1/4 inches long.

We flew out Monday afternoon with Maya and Kenyon in tow and are all falling head over heels in love. He should be discharged today. In the meantime, we have been watching Jaylan, Rebecca's 14 month old, and trying to survive hurricane rains with 3 little ones. Never a dull moment!

Pictures are coming... as soon as I find the cord to download!

Halloween 2009

It came and went and we had loads of fun at festivals, carnivals and trick or treating. Now we are on candy overload and ready to get back to our normal, structured life... well actually, I am trying to convince Jeremy to let me decorate for Christmas. I mean, the stores are full of it, why not our house?! If I can't put up my tree for a couple more weeks, I am going to at least start listening to Christmas music. Happy Holidays!

At our neighborhood Fall Festival

Kenyon and his friend Victoria are too cute together!

Getting ready for Movie in the Park

Pumpkin Carving time
Grandma's Neighborhood Carnival

Cutest Ladybug around!
And cutest Pirate Girl around
Cutest Swimmer around - yes, we swam on Halloween - what else would we do when the Utah cousins come into town?!

Check out this freak show - I didn't get a pic of him dressed in his "Ron Burgandy outfit," but thankfully Maya had taken a pic of him with his creepy mustache. Yikes!

Trick or Treat!
