Update

This week was a big week for Baby J:

We went to court with her parents and found out she will most likely be with us another 5 months.

Then today she got tubes in her ears - Yeah for no more ear infections!

We sure love her!

My Baby Boy

This kid coos, smiles, is seriously the calmest baby around and already loves his Mommy. What more could I ask for?!

This and That

Yesterday there was a knock at the door. As I slightly opened the door to the young solicitor, he asked, "Is your mom or dad home?" and then he paused... "I mean, are you the mom?"

"Yes and I am not interested" and I shut the door as he was saying something about me not even knowing what he was selling. I didn't need to hear anymore after he had given me a compliment... I think it is a compliment???

Aren't these two so sweet?! Well Kenyon is not so sweet lately and is being so naughty, but in this picture he sure looks sweet!

Have a good weekend! We are playing with Uncle Justin, Aunt Midori and Cousins Kai and Shea who came to visit. Lots of fun!

Snow Day

Maya is OBSESSED with these snow pants (thanks Katie for the hand-me-down!). She really wanted to wear them to school today.

I said, "Let's make a deal - next snow day, you can wear them."

She said, "Ok."

long pause

"Mom, there is a problem... It never snows in Arizona."

Can't get anything past this girl!

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl!

Your 4 am wake up call is loud and the screaming in the car is ear-piercing, but those eyes... are stunning. And that smile... it melts our hearts.

We are so blessed to have you in our lives and home. You have grown from a baby to a big girl in the 5 months you have been with us.
