Soccer is over!

We survived our 1st soccer season. Maya sort of caught on to it and Jer loved coaching so I think we will continue in the Fall.
Getting their game faces on before the game:
Eating lots of snacks so they wouldn't run on the field:
And the hike up to the parking lot after the game - WHAT A MAN - 2 kids in stroller, 1 on neck, 2 camping chairs and one HUGE hill to climb!

Singing in the Rain

I'm singing in the rain

Just singing in the rain

What a glorious feelin'

I'm happy again!

Our Preschool Graduate

Okay, I know she still has one more year of preschool so she is not officially graduating, but she did graduate from Miss Leslie's preschool because she is going to another school next year that is 3 days instead of 2. We are so sad to leave Miss Leslie, but Maya (and Mom!) need more school time! :)

Summer is here!

Yesterday was preschool graduation (which I will post pics about soon!), so that meant today was the first day of summer vacation. The weather is BEAUTIFUL and unseasonably cool so we spent the morning at the park - playing, eating lunch, and visiting with good friends.

Welcome summer!

Night Caps

Maya sleeps in her night cap each night to keep her braids safe and the oil off of her pillow case. Tonight Olivia spotted Maya's cap as we were getting pajamas on. She asked to wear a "hat too."

Priceless

I walked into the toy room yesterday morning to this sight:

Kenyon and Olivia were pointing to animals and saying, "What's that?" and Maya would answer them in her cutest little teacher voice.

I love these kids!

It's getting hot in here (AZ that is!)!

So we are finding creative ways to keep cool, like riding bikes inside on my freshly cleaned floors

And eating lots of popsicles!

Welcome summer heat!

Our Mother's Day Gift

For our moms, grandmas, nanas, and birthmoms, we are finally updating our blog with pictures. Beware: there are a ton of them!
Happy Mother's Day!

Our California Trip
First, there was Disneyland

The spinning tea cup
and the non-spinning tea cup

We had so much fun spending time with Aunt Midori, Uncle Justin and Cousin Kai

Kenyon was wiped out by naptime!

Boarding the Matterhorn

Buzz Lightyear Ride

All of the kiddos - we went with our friends Ryan and Courtney, so their 2 kids and cousin Kai
Minnie Mouse at her house!
Right before the parade, the dads left to get ready for their big race. Thankfully, we had these spinner toys to keep the kids entertained while we waited.
They LOVED the new parade - can you see the excitement in Maya?!

They even got to go out and dance in the parade (We only sent the older kids - the toddlers would have never returned to us!)

Completely mesmerized!

The next day we went shopping and Aunt Midori made us a delicious dinner.
Saturday we met up with my good friend Elise and her girls who live in California.

Just several months ago, these two could not be in the same room without fighting. This day, they were best friends!

There was a train ride there.

And pony rides!

Group shot, minus two of the young ones

Then we headed to see the daddies cross the finish line - and the kids were wiped out!

Here they come!

They did it!

They were sleep deprived and sore, but their kids only wanted them after being with the crazy, single moms for 2 days!

We headed down to the beach.

Kenyon had to first give the sand a taste test...

Then he was ready to go!

That kid has no fear!

Billy and Rebecca were missing their kids back in AZ, so they kept our kids entertained at the beach.

How could we have forgotten the swimsuits?!

After we came back home and Olivia joined the family for a while, we took a trip to the Elmo Concert.

The kids all ready for church last week

Saturday Swim Day!
