Update by Family Member

I am on a blogging roll tonight. I thought I would do a quick update about each person since it has been so long since I've been blogging. Here it goes:

Family - we are buying a new house and moving the first of May. It is still in the same neighborhood, which we are very happy about. We are looking forward to having a pool to swim in this summer and having an extra bedroom and 3rd car garage for our growing family.

Jeremy - Ran his big marathon back in March. He trained so hard and did a great job. He is such a good dad and takes such good care of our family. He works strange hours and gets little sleep, but rarely complains.

Britany - 16 weeks pregnant and doing well. Other than that, I am just trying to raise these kids and keep a house somewhat clean and organized.

Maya - She is doing amazing at school and is also becoming quite the pianist. On April Fools, she really tricked me when she faked sick. Turns out she just didn't want to miss out on any of Kenyon's birthday celebration while she was at school. She is such a good helper with the little ones and they all LOVE her! She has lost quite a few teeth lately and the pic below is a copy of one of the creative letters she wrote to the tooth fairy. There is also a picture where I thought she was asleep upside down, but then she started laughing after I took the pic - faker!

Kenyon - Recently cut open his chin and had to go get it glued back together. In the picture below, they had just glued it up and gave him a popsicle. Just finished up football and is now playing baseball. He says he loves football best, but we are giving him options. He can't wait for summer to be here and school to be out!

Devin - He has such as silly personality and will get something in his head and stop at nothing until it happens. Aunt Camille recently gave him a dollar and he insisted he buy tweezers with it. He harassed me for 24 hours until I took him to buy some and now he has slept with them and carried them around since. He takes loooong naps each day and then stays up super late each night. All of the other kids go to bed at 7:00 pm so he loves his one on one time with mom. I keep saying I need to stop napping him, but I think I secretly like the company while Jer is gone working.

Owen - He loves to roam the house and yard doing his own thing. Sometimes it's playing with cars or jumping on the trampoline. He will help himself to a popsicle or drink when he needs it. However, when it is time to tell him what to do, he has the 2 year old tantrum down! Pics of him sleeping with his pirate hat on, practicing piano with Maya and one of his many messes he makes daily.

Noah - Yesterday Noah got tubes put in his ears. We are so excited to hopefully have no more ear infections. He had one when they did the surgery and has been pretty miserable today. Noah has also had to do quite a few breathing treatments this Winter - poor baby! He recently started crawling, well actually it is a scoot, but he is getting up on all fours so it should be soon. He gets around super fast and is such a happy kid now that he has independence! We should find out in June if we get to keep him forever and we can't imagine our life without him.

Well this sounds like a Christmas Letter, but I just wanted to update for my own good when I look back at our blog. Thanks for bearing with me :).

Our Big News!

We announced on Facebook and Instagram several weeks ago, but I thought I better post the big news here too in case anyone missed it and since this is like a family journal...

When we were first married, Grandma Belva passed away and we inherited this fertility Buddha. It took a couple years to start working, but now it hasn't stopped. Due September 24th!

We are so excited and will find out the gender in 2 weeks.

Happy Birthday to Kenyon

Back on April 1st, my Kenyon turned 6 years old. He talks about his birthday all year long and is already asking why April 1st is so far away. He was born to celebrate birthdays!

As previously mentioned, we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa and family at our Easter party on Saturday. His birthday was on Monday.

We started out with birthday pancakes.

He chose McDonalds for lunch when he got home from school.

That night he requested hot dogs, mac n cheese and to play "donut on a string."

Uncle Kellen, Aunt Camille and cousins Liv and Sam came over to drop off a present and were roped into playing.

The present was 2 crabs... who sadly passed away a couple of days later. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a pet person and was not too sad about their passing. Thankfully the kids hadn't grown too attached and were not traumatized by the death.

Later that week he invited a friend to go to Bounce U with our family. We went for open bounce and it was insanely busy so I didn't even get any pictures. They had a blast despite the crazy crowds. A fun birthday week!

Kenyon is such a joy to parent. He is full of energy and humor. He constantly keeps us laughing with all of the funny things he says. Right now his imagination is huge and we often have to remind him that the story he is telling sounds pretend and not real :). Love this kid!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend several weeks ago. We started out on Saturday afternoon with an Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

They even put eggs in the pool so it quickly turned to a swimming party.

Then we died eggs outside in our swimsuits which was the cleanest egg dying ever. We would have the kids go jump in the pool when they spilled!

Next we celebrated Kenyon's birthday which was 2 days later.

And then of course they swam until we dragged them out of the pool. Such a fun night!

Easter morning they woke up to find their baskets the Easter Bunny had hid.

Then we moved outside for another Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard.

The rest of the day was spent remembering and talking about the true meaning of Easter. Love this family of mine!
