Visit with Santa

The other night some neighbors had Santa come to their house for pictures and hot chocolate.

Maya was the only one who wanted to talk to Santa...

Noah wasn't afraid of Santa either!

Such a fun night of Santa, visiting with friends, and yummy hot chocolate!

Family Pics

A local photographer offered to do mini sessions for the holidays for foster families at a steal of a deal price. We took her up on it and I think they turned out pretty cute!

Football Champions

Kenyon played flag football for the first time this Fall. He was not super aggressive or into it, but he loved going to the practices and games and we are hoping it was a nice introduction and next season he will be a seasoned professional.

His team was the 49ers coached by our good friend Ryan and his brother Rob. The 49ers are Jeremy's favorite team so that made Jer and Kenyon happy.

They lost all season to the Cardinals (who had the most ANNOYING coaches!), but when it came time for the championship game, we played the Cardinals... and WON! It was an intense game for this competitive mama. Most of the boys on the team were oblivious to how close and intense it was. I guess that is how you want it for 5 year olds.

Way to go Niners!

Devin Turned 3!

Way back on November 9th, Devin had a birthday and turned 3 years old. I can't believe he is getting so big! We had a fun birthday celebration.

First, Daddy was home from work because it was on a Friday. He started a new job where he only works 4 days a week and we love the extra time with Dad. Dad helped make sprinkle pancakes for breakfast which are always a special treat on birthdays.

We got him a play kitchen which he loves and plays with constantly!

When the big kids came home from school we headed to Chuck E Cheese's to celebrate.

That night we had birthday cake.

By the end of the night he was wiped out and fell asleep on the stairs (in his underwear of course!).

Such a fun day for such a cute boy. Love him so much!

Date Night with Maya

Last weekend we took Maya out on a date night to see the play Annie at Hale Centre Theatre. She chose to go to dinner at Pei Wei before the play. Actually, she chose Panda Express (the girl loves Chinese food!), but mom persuaded her to go to Pei Wei instead.

She loved the one on one time with Mom and Dad and absolutely adored the play. It was such a cute play and an added bonus to see Maya get so excited about it.

She also loved meeting the actors (CELEBRITIES!) afterwards.

Desert Camping 2012

Jeremy and the kids have been wanting to go camping for months. They finally convinced me to join them and we picked a spot only 20 minutes from home.

We got there and had lots of helpers setting up the tent.

Kenyon was just excited about lots of junk food!

Strategically set up the tent with 2 pack-n-plays for the babies.

Dug a fire pit

Built a fire

Enjoyed a lovely evening roasting hot dogs and marshmallows

Then the kids went to bed really well because they were super tired, but apparently Owen didn't get the memo about going to sleep and staying asleep because he cried off and on until about 1:00 in the morning when he was screaming so loud he woke up the other 4 kids. At that point, we decided we had "camped" and it was time to head home to our own beds... so we did!

Jeremy taking down the tent with a head lamp

Fun times, but I think we will stick with evening getaways for a while where we come home at bedtime until the little ones aren't so little anymore!

Halloween Festivities

Our Halloween festivities began on Saturday night with trunk or treat.

So glad Kylee wanted to hold Noah all night!

The fishing booth was my kids favorite part

On Sunday we carved pumpkins and decorated cookies with the Hanks.

Trick or treating Halloween night around the neighborhood - Owen and cousin Sam

Forgot to take anymore pictures that night, but they all got way more candy than they can eat and had a fabulous time going through a neighborhood haunted house, eating cotton candy and popcorn and enjoying beautiful Fall weather!
