Thumb-suckin'

I have never had a thumb-sucker and have been happy about it... until now!



It is so cute and although I know it won't be cute when he is 10 and still suckin', for now I am enjoying my 12 hour stretches at night since he just sticks that thing back in his mouth if he wakes up. Makes for a happy mama and happy baby!

The ladies are earning their keep!

This morning I kept hearing the chickens making all kinds of crazy noises bright and early. After Maya woke up, we went out to explore. We couldn't find "Blackjack" (as Maya so graciously named her) and then suddenly found her in the corner behind our garbage cans. When we moved her away, 3 eggs were sitting beneath her.

Baby Playdates

Nearly every day Kenyon prays that cousin Sam and Owen can have a playdate. It recently happened when they stopped by for a visit. I hope it was everything Kenyon had prayed for!


Owen started rice cereal and baby food this week - such a big boy! Now if the poor kid would ever stop spitting up I would keep clothes on him. I figure it is just easier to wipe his skin down than change his outfit after every feeding. Besides, who wants to wear clothes when we are having some record heat?!



And oh how nice it was last week when Aunt Tiffany came for a visit. Miss you already!
