Playtime

When baby J wakes up, Kenyon loves to race in there, climb in her crib and play. The 2 of them laugh and laugh and it really is priceless.

After I put the kiddos to bed tonight, Kenyon was supposed to be in his room and baby J and Maya were in their room. Suddenly I heard baby J giggling. When I went in, Maya was fast asleep on the bed and Kenyon had snuck in and was in the crib jumping, bouncing baby J. She giggled and giggled. I should have taken a picture, but instead I found this one from a while back. Too cute! (she is laughing, not crying :).

Big news!

Yes, it is true - a baby is coming to our home. Lots of big excitement going on here. Kenyon's birthparents are expecting and have asked us to adopt this bambino. We couldn't feel more honored and blessed to be able to adopt again. Jeremy has always said we wouldn't adopt again unless something fell in our lap - it seems to have happened. Baby is due December 1st and the gender is unknown. Maya wants another baby sister and Kenyon just wants "another one baby."

If you are wondering why my blogging is slacking - I am busy "nesting" and getting my house in order.

If you are wondering if baby J will still be with us - Yes, they will be 11 months apart.

If you are wondering if we are excited - We can hardly contain it! That is, of course, why I am announcing it to the world instead of surprising everyone with a baby the day we bring him/her home, like my sneaky husband wanted to do.
I can't think of a better Christmas gift!

Sickness

Let's talk swine flu. Have you gotten it? I feel like everyone has and we have NOT. I really can't believe it because I feel like Kenyon and baby J catch everything. Right now they have caught colds that I am sure baby J's will turn into an ear infection any day. But do you take her to the doctor and risk catching swine flu? Or do I take all 3 with me and hope that they do get it and be done with it so I can stop stressing about where I am taking them and if I have washed their hands recently?

The dilemmas I face right now... :)

Girls Weekend

(The crew minus Amy who couldn't make it and Jill the photographer)

Last weekend I met up with my high school friends in St George, Utah. They all drove down from Salt Lake together and I made the long trip alone. Actually, I LOVED having the 7 hour drive all by myself. I was able to jam out to some music, talk on the phone and just drive in peace and quiet.

We had such a fun time chatting, eating out, going to a musical - Aida, and shopping. I love getting together with them. No matter how long it has been, we just pick up where we left off last time. Love them!

Oh and Jeremy survived the weekend just fine, although he was VERY happy to go back to work Monday morning. This time there were no holes in the wall (see this post from my last girls trip :).

Who Knew

Who knew that watching dad mow the grass over and over in preparation for planting our winter grass would keep the girls so entertained?! The weather is cooler, Fall decorations are hung and soon we will have green, plush grass. It almost feels like Spring Fever, yet it is Winter Fever down here in AZ. Can't wait to crack open some windows!

Surgery Day

Kenyon had his eye surgery today and everything went well. He was his usual charming self for all of the waiting room and the surgery center staff.

Since coming home, he has slept most of the day. When he is awake, he won't open his eyes so he wanders around feeling his way. Cute and also very sad! Recovery should be quick and painless.

So thankful it is over!
