Easter 2011

The Easter Bunny also surprised us with baby chicks. Those who know me know that I am NOT an animal person, but I figured at some point I would let my kids experience a pet so why not now. I still haven't touched them and don't plan on it. Jer has plans for a coup out back and I am hopeful we can get some eggs and they will at least earn their keep. Until then, they provide hours of entertainment every afternoon as the kids chase them around the yard.

Favorite New Game

1. Kenyon lays at Owen's feet.
2. Owen kicks.
3. Kenyon laughs and laughs and laughs.

Keeps them both entertained!

Blessed

Last weekend Jeremy blessed Owen at church. All of Jer's extended family came into town. It was fun to have everyone together. Here are some pictures of Owen's big day.

Owen and cousin Sam (my brother Kellen's baby)... 2 1/2 months makes a BIG difference in size!

We headed to the park to try to get a Galovich family picture - it was CRAZY with all of the little ones.

It was such a beautiful day to lounge on the grass and visit!

No explanation needed - these boys will be humiliated some day!

Come back soon!

7 weeks

I can't believe baby Owen is almost 7 weeks old! Time flies, yet at the same time it seems like forever since I had a good night of sleep... please let him sleep through the night soon!

He is smiling and cooing more and more each day. I try to capture a smile on camera, but have failed. The one above was taken right after the smile so at least he still has a happy demeanour. His eyes are turning more and more blue and are gorgeous.

He went to the dr last week for a check up. Here are the stats:

Weight: 10 pounds, 4 ounces

Height: 23 inches

He is super tall. He still looks pretty skinny, but only because he has a lot of body to spread that weight around in :). Our pediatrician laughed at the difference between Owen and the other boys - they are barely on and sometimes below the charts for weight and height. Definitely different genes here!

Brotherly Love

P.S. Blurry pic from my cell phone

P.P.S. No, Kenyon didn't burn his hand again... He fell and cut it on some rocks, but he won't keep bandaids on unless they are REALLY taped on.

Happy Birthday Kenyon

This is no April Fool's joke here, Kenyon turned 4 today. At his party, some of us moms decided that if anyone was to be born on April Fool's, Kenyon is perfect for it. He is such a joker and has such a fun personality that I am sure he will truly enjoy the pranks on his big day once he is old enough to understand.

We celebrated the same as last year, per his request, at Peter Piper Pizza for a tour where they get to make their own pizza and then they played and played and played. Daddy was there and he is such a big kid so he kept restocking the tokens. I don't think anyone went home sad about not getting enough tokens!

Kenyon - you are growing up to be such a big helper and my little comedian. You crack us up all day long. I used to think you were shy, but now you are a little performer. I especially love all of the songs you sing to us constantly, including some heavy metal-ish songs that dad has played for you. You rock out with some crazy moves and I love them. You are also my little cuddler and come crawl in bed with me in the mornings to cuddle. You love to torment Devin, but he always goes back for more or follows you to time-out just to be with you. He looks up to his big brother! You are the best about sharing treats and toys with Maya and you ask to hold Owen more than the other kids. You have such a sweet side when you tell me you love me or talk about missing Baby J. Although there are days I wonder how many more times you can go to time-out in a 24 hour period, I see you growing and maturing and can't wait to see what life has in store for you! Love, love, love you!

Happy Birthday big boy!
