Sharing

Kenyon yells to me from the back door, "Mom, my mouth is sweaty and I need a popsicle to share with the chickens."

So I gave him a popsicle, but didn't realize he was literally going to share it with the chickens.

They took a bite, he took a bite. Occasionally a chicken would eat a bug, take a bite of popsicle and then Kenyon would take a bite of that same popsicle. Yum!

Diddy

In a couple of weeks, Diddy (aka Devin) will be turning 2. I feel like he has been throwing some terrible two tantrums since Owen was born 8 months ago, but they are getting less and less so we're hoping he went through the 2's early. Sure love his sweet, silly, lovable personality.

While we were in California playing at the cousins' house, he was suddenly crying. When we retrieved him from the backyard, this was the sight:

Of course before cleaning the mud and blood from his mouth I yelled, "Someone grab a camera!" I love the look on his face!

Just makin' memories!

Knotts Berry

On Monday we ventured to Knotts Berry Farm. Aunt Midori and cousins Kai and Shea met us there. It was not busy at all so we were able to ride as many rides as we wanted. Such a difference from last Fall Break at crowded Disneyland.

Kenyon and Kensie looked so cute riding in this car together!

Maya was so excited that she was tall enough to go on a couple of the roller coasters this time - she is a dare devil like her dad!

Owen did so well. I think he was just happy to be out of the AZ heat and in cool California air!

The babies obliged to my plan and both napped peacefully in the stroller (added bonus that it was at the same time!).

Kenyon talked about his cotton candy all day so after Mom went on a roller coaster and felt like garbage, I sat with him and ate cotton candy.

Last ride of the day and we realized Devin was tall enough to go on. He loved it and now we know for next time he is good to go!

Such a fun day!

The Beach!

Last week for Fall Break we took a little trip to California with our friends Ryan and Courtney and their kiddos.

Of course, we met up with the Cali cousins to hit the beach one afternoon for swimming, sand castle building and exploring.

Owen loved hanging out on the blanket under the umbrella with his bff Peyton (Courtney's baby who is only a month older). They ate snacks and the moms chit-chatted...

While the big kids were off having a blast!

Shea found some shells to dip in the dirty water and suck on. It was like he was eating his oysters at a fancy restaurant. Such a cute kid!

Jer caught a crab for the kids to all look at and touch.

They thought it was really cool until it pinched poor Blake!

Happy memories made!

Marathon

Several weeks ago Jeremy went up to St George with some friends to run a marathon... Amazing! He had trained hard and it paid off - he did great!

Here he comes

And there he crosses the finish line

Now we are enjoying having him around more now that he is no longer training... Wait a minute, he still goes to work, school, scouts and much more. Thankfully, the next weekend we took a family trip to Cali that I will post pics of soon.

Way to go Jer!

Kenyon

I know I have posted about Kenyon's wild sleep before, but when I recently downloaded pictures, I found some more classics. One night I went in to check on him. Light was on and he had set up "tents" (as he called them the next day) all over Maya's room.

He falls asleep every Sunday at church under the pew. I bribe him with a treat if he will... it is well worth it for us to be down a kid! On this day, he fell asleep clenching his gummy worm in his hand.

Lunch Date

Several weeks ago I surprised Maya at school and showed up to have lunch with her. She was thrilled and I loved watching how she would say hi to all of her friends as they walked by, drawing their attention to her mom being there. Then, I even had to parade around the playground with her at recess. She loves, loves, loves Panda Express so she proclaimed it "the best day ever!"

Love my Maya!
