It's A Boy!

Meet our little guy:

He is so cute already. It is early on to determine gender, but this guy was not shy so we are pretty confident. I will have another ultrasound at 20 weeks to confirm. Right now I am 14 weeks.

Now for the dilemma - Before we knew I was pregnant and I was just suspecting, Jeremy said if it is a boy, we are naming it JJ for Jeremy Junior. I really didn't think I was pregnant, so I agreed. Now we are in trouble. I do not want his name to be Jeremy Junior so I am trying to come up with a cute J name and his name could be J_____ Jeremy and he can go by JJ. I cannot find a cute J name. Any ideas out there??????

California Love

We escaped the heat last week for a long weekend in California. We were able to take just our 3 kids and really enjoyed relaxing at a condo with my parents. It was just what we needed after a long, hot summer.

Of course, the kids needed to head to the beach the first night we got there. They explored and found some crabs and other treasures.

The next day we swam at the condo. Maya was in a swim contest with a bunch of big kids. She held her own and even though her team didn't win, they took second place.

Then we headed to Knotts Berry Farm. It was so, so, so much fun. No lines at all so the kids could ride the same ride again and again and again. I am sold on Knotts Berry!

My dad thought he could just put Kenyon on the ride, but they said he wasn't tall enough so my dad had to ride with him. We laughed and laughed at the two of them crammed in that little car!

Now we are back in the heat, but it doesn't feel quite as bad after getting a little break.

1st Day of School

Maya started kindergarten today.

Her favorite part: riding the bus home.

She has waited years for this! I planned on staying with her until school started, but after being there only a couple minutes, she said, "You can leave now Mom." And so it begins...

Kenyon will be going 2 days a week to a neighborhood preschool.

Baby J will keep going to ''baby school" or daycare that she started a couple months back.

Devin will be hanging with mom and won't know what to do now that he went from sharing a mom with 5 kids to being the only kiddo. Lucky boy!

Bring Niki to Arizona!

Many of you know that I miss having my high school friends Niki and Shantel here in Arizona.

Niki takes amazing pics and I am really, really wanting her to come this Fall and take our family Christmas pictures. If I can get some other people to hire her, she will for sure come.

Check out her photo blog and let me or her know if you are interested.

Goodbye

D went home to live with his grandma tonight. It was bittersweet. We are so happy for him to be with his family, but we are going to miss having him around. Maya was especially sad since they have become good playmates. Kenyon will have to move back to tormenting Maya again. Devin and baby J will miss all of the attention he gave them. Jeremy and I will miss having extra hands around to help out. When he left he told me that I will have to clean the toy room alone now because he was my best helper :).

He was here just 2 months, but fun memories were made! We are hoping to remain in contact and still see him occasionally.

5 Things I Have Discovered About My Pregnant Self In 10 1/2 Short Weeks

1. Food - I eat a ton of it! I eat every couple of hours and I eat WAY more than Jeremy. Also, we used to be really good about not eating out or getting fast food often... not anymore! I hit a drive thru at least once a day. In-N-Out is definitely the fav right now.

2. Patience - Where did you go? I am so impatient with these poor children of mine. Kenyon said to me the other day, "Mommy, you like a mean ogre." How sad is that?!

3. Sickness - nope, no morning sickness. Haven't even vomited once! The sickness is in my ear. I have had a blasted ear infection for almost 4 weeks. My ear drum even ruptured. I have taken 20 days of antibiotics and received a shot in my toosh and it is still not going away. Ugh!

4. Belly - I am growing a little belly and I am loving it. Maya comes and rubs it and kisses it and it is just very sweet. I think growing the belly makes it seem more real.

5. Jeremy - He is a good man. He is so excited about this little bun in the oven. He says he needs to go to every dr appointment with me and waits on me hand and foot (most of the time :). Thank you dear!
