We escaped the heat last week for a long weekend in California. We were able to take just our 3 kids and really enjoyed relaxing at a condo with my parents. It was just what we needed after a long, hot summer.
The next day we swam at the condo. Maya was in a swim contest with a bunch of big kids. She held her own and even though her team didn't win, they took second place.
Then we headed to Knotts Berry Farm. It was so, so, so much fun. No lines at all so the kids could ride the same ride again and again and again. I am sold on Knotts Berry! 
My dad thought he could just put Kenyon on the ride, but they said he wasn't tall enough so my dad had to ride with him. We laughed and laughed at the two of them crammed in that little car!
Of course, the kids needed to head to the beach the first night we got there. They explored and found some crabs and other treasures.

Looks like a super fun trip! You missed a few very hot days so be happy about that! Let's get together the early part of next week!

Glad you had such a fun time! And oh, my. I CANNOT believe how much Devin has changed in the last couple months! We need to get together again! :)
