Home Sweet Home

We made it home! Kenyon was pleasantly surprised to see our home still standing because the entire trip he kept saying that the big, bad wolf blew down our house. When he saw our house last night, he said, "No big, bad wolf blow down our house!" Poor guy thought we were homeless!

Now we are busy unpacking and repacking for another trip - to California to meet our new nephew and celebrate my big 3-0 birthday. Can't wait!

Meanwhile, our computer is in the shop so if you need to reach me, call me. I am going through withdrawals! :)

Sometime soon I will post some really cute pics of our fun summer vacation! Until then, have a good week!

So long!

Food is scarce around here since we are leaving tomorrow for a couple of weeks... well Jer will be back, but the kids and I will be away for a while. Can't wait to fish and roast marshmallows with Nana and Grandpa, go to a cabin at Bear Lake with Grandma Bev's family (Great-Grandpa's 80th birthday!), see fireworks on the 24th, meet up for breakfasts, lunches and dinners with friends, reunite Olivia with her Mom and Dad, go to Grandpa Gary's family reunion, get out of this heat and so much more... I don't think I will sleep tonight!!!

The Great Houdini

If you have a child who likes to strip down to the nude at bedtime, my friend Maxine gives you the best solution:
Footed PJs put on backwards

Although if you put too big of ones on, you find them like this in the morning (she climbed right out the neck!)

Thank you Maxine - you saved my life! Okay, maybe not "my life," but at least my week. Who likes to clean up the mess left from a naked 2 year old?!

Kenyon and His Friends

I love that our neighborhood has quite a few kids born within a month of Kenyon. They all play so cute together and Kenyon seriously talks about them all of the time. My friend Brooke recently snapped some shots of 3 of the little buddies while they were playing at her house.

The irony in these pictures is that now that Olivia AND Kenyon have hand, foot and mouth sickness, the "virus love" was being shared in these pictures since Kenyon was probably already contaminated. Kenyon only has a couple of sores on his foot, but honestly I am thankful that they both have it at the same time and we can be done with it in a couple of days - hopefully! Sorry to all of those we have infected... please forgive us! :)

Happy 4th of July!

Our day started out trying to get these 2 to hold still for a picture. We are down to only 2 kids because Maya left for Utah and Wyoming with the grandparents. They would not cooperate for a cute pic, but you get the idea that they were dressed in their patriotic gear.

Then we went to a breakfast at the church and proceeded to infect the entire ward with hand, foot and mouth disease that we didn't realize Olivia had until we got there. Parents of the Year!

I guess we are now quarantined to the house for 7 days until she is no longer contagious. Fun, fun day! :)

Olivia's Big Day Out

Can you believe that in the 10 weeks that Olivia has been with us, I have never taken her grocery shopping with me?! I either swap kids with friends so I can go alone, go after Jeremy is home or go to Basha's and drop them off at free daycare. Today I decided to drop off Maya and Kenyon at a friend's house and take Olivia with me.
Do you think she was in heaven???
