Happy Birthday to Kenyon

Back on April 1st, my Kenyon turned 6 years old. He talks about his birthday all year long and is already asking why April 1st is so far away. He was born to celebrate birthdays!

As previously mentioned, we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa and family at our Easter party on Saturday. His birthday was on Monday.

We started out with birthday pancakes.

He chose McDonalds for lunch when he got home from school.

That night he requested hot dogs, mac n cheese and to play "donut on a string."

Uncle Kellen, Aunt Camille and cousins Liv and Sam came over to drop off a present and were roped into playing.

The present was 2 crabs... who sadly passed away a couple of days later. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a pet person and was not too sad about their passing. Thankfully the kids hadn't grown too attached and were not traumatized by the death.

Later that week he invited a friend to go to Bounce U with our family. We went for open bounce and it was insanely busy so I didn't even get any pictures. They had a blast despite the crazy crowds. A fun birthday week!

Kenyon is such a joy to parent. He is full of energy and humor. He constantly keeps us laughing with all of the funny things he says. Right now his imagination is huge and we often have to remind him that the story he is telling sounds pretend and not real :). Love this kid!
