Coming to an end...

Summer is coming to an end. Back to school on Wednesday and then maybe this blog will no longer be neglected. It has been a good summer full of swimming, going to movies, hanging out with friends, and enjoying this scorching heat. We are very ready to get back on a schedule and for mom to have some downtime while the "big kids" are at school.

One HOT night we cooled off by making homemade ice cream in ziploc bags. It tasted okay, but the fun was had in shaking up the bags.


My niece Chelsey was visiting AZ from UT and we had so much fun with her.

Kenyon and his friend Brigg - they look cute and innocent, but these two are NAUGHTY together. They are pirates and are always coming up with ways to make their big sisters scream. Good luck to their preschool teacher! :)

If you have ever swam with Kenyon, you know he looks like he is drowning, although he is an independent swimmer. My friend captured this so well in this picture!

Owen has super ticklish feet and Dad can always get him to laugh hard by rubbing them on his scruffy face.


Pulled out the Johnny Jumper today and he loved it!


We were very lucky this week to be able to see both of our foster kids that were with us last summer. We met up with D and his grandma at McDonalds one day. The kids had a blast playing and catching up. Then baby J (who is no longer a baby!) came over for a playdate today. She still remembers us and has such a good time when she comes over. The best part about seeing both of them is that they are both being adopted and we are 100% confident they are right where they are supposed to be. It brings such peace to see how it all fell into place and that we were just a little stop for both of them. And of course, we love that we still get to be involved in their lives.
